Hughes Safety Showers is the first manufacturer in the North West to receive the Investors in People Gold Award. We have held Investors in People accreditation since 2002 and this latest extension to the award is designed to stretch organisations even further.
Currently 30,000 companies are accredited to Investors in People. Since the new setup of IiP with the additional Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in May 2009, just 105 of the companies that have been re-assessed have achieved Gold, none of whom are in manufacturing. To get the top award, applicants must meet a minimum of 165 evidence requirements plus the 39 required for the standard Investors in People Award.
The Investors in People Gold award together with the recently acquired Environmental Management Standard ISO14001 tops off a great 2009 for Hughes Safety Showers. The Company, Europe’s leading manufacturer of Emergency Safety Showers and Decontamination Equipment, recorded strong growth in the year with a 10% increase in sales and a 35% increase in overseas business.
