Podium finish for Laverty!

Buildbase Kawasaki scored their best points haul to date with an excellent weekends racing at Oulton Park.

After qualifying in a strong 8th position, John Laverty entered both races in a confident frame of mind.  Race 1 and John was up to 6th

in the opening laps and began a race long battle with Josh Brookes, Michael Laverty and Alistair Seeley.  On the last lap John came from 5th to record a remarkable British Superbike podium in 3rd place. With the heavens opening just minutes before the start of race 2, the team were pushed to prepare the bike for a wet race.  An excellent start from John saw him up to 3rd again before finally finishing in 5th place.

Oulton Park proved to be a fantastic weekend for both the team and John, who is now 6th overall in the championship standings and looks on to Cadwell with high hopes of repeating his success.

Adam Jenkinson bounced back from his crash at Thruxton with two fine results, consistently increasing his pace throughout the weekend.  Race 1 and a fantastic start saw Adam rocket to 10th on the first lap from 19th on the grid, crossing the line in 13th place.  Race 2 and again Adam flew off the start this time from 16th to 7th within the first two laps.  Unfortunately with the tyres starting to go off due to the track drying out following the rain Adam finished in a respectable 15th place.

Superstock
Barry Burrell and Lee Jackson both rode fine races to record 10th and 12th respectively in the Superstock 1000cc series. Barry starting from 22nd came through to 10th improving his qualifying time by 1.3 seconds. Lee qualified 13th but struggled at the start of the race.  Both riders will be aiming to qualify higher at Cadwell Park in order to push for the podium places.  Due to the bad weather delaying earlier races coupled with time restrictions at Oulton Park, the Superstock 600cc race was cancelled and subsequently Joel Morris did not race.
